CRX -vs- RSX

Last night, I was out cruizin' with my sweet '89 CRX SI (i/h/e, and other cosmetic/ricer mods) at about 1:00am. I'd been cruising around for the last half hour, just listenin' to music waitin' for some dumb teen in their riced out civic to roll up next to me, but along came a different beast. It was a shiny new RSX complete with exhaust and PIAA's. He was behind me at the time, but when I caught a red light, he pulled into the lane next to me. We gave each other the customary stare and prepared to have some fun. We kept waiting and waiting, the anticipation grew by the second. Finally, the light turns green, we both nail our launches, only a slight chirp of the tires. I was a bumper behind until I shifted into second, and he flew by me like i was sitting still. I decided to try and catch him even though I was a 1 or 2 car lengths behind, I floored it until I hit about 90mph, but I still remained those precious 2 car lengths away from him the entire time. It was good fun, and I caught up to him at the next red light, but he decided not to race again.

I would have raced it too, I know I would lose but I wanna race one. This guy I know has one, but we haven't raced.

those damn rsx's have killer 3rd gears! ive raced this type s this guy i know has like 10 times every time the same thing, i pull off on takeoff (i ALWAYS pull off on takeoff no matter what im racing) i hear him chirp into 2nd right behind me, chirp third righ tbeside me then its like all hell broke loose and there he goes! then he goes into 4th and stops pulling away, if it wasnt for the damn 3rd being so strong i could probably take him, but as it is i need to do some work to outrun it.

i love my crx and its got decnet speed but i dont know much out there that it would really man handle lol come on guys it was made almost 12 years ago but it's fun

If it were an SiR you wouldnt be saying that :)

You even pull off on takeoff vs a Mustang Cobra? :D

yeah actually i do. put it to redline, drop the cluthc, no wheelspin just GO! however a mustang cobra would prob catch me within 2 seconds and pass me like no tomorrow, but id pull away on takeoff...

im guessing your subaru is an awd one right? because if it wasn't you would have hella wheels spin dumping the clutch at redline. my friend has an awd turbo 92 talon and he can take about any car off a launch. i raced in it one time and dumped it at redline, and that crap jumped then went. if you let out the clutch on it right at around 4 grand (he has a centerforce dual friction) and that thing will shoot you back in your seat on only chirp the rear tires.

remember Brad, I saw that race, it was at the pH meet, haha. Who did u race....Blane, that was great. Remember drumsy beat the GST to, that was tight. and to the guy who made this post.....how did u know they wer PIAA, just wondering.

yeah its awd. awd is cool. im never buying another 2wd vehicle.
