97 monte carlo problem?

Recently the service engine light on my car has turned on. I took it to the dealer and they said it was a leak in the intake manifold. However within 2 days the light turned on again. It does not seem like anything is leaking. Could it be the cold weather? If anyone has any ideas on what the problem could be please let me know.

The symptoms of an intake gasket leak would be rough idling on a cold start, Tach will bounce between 500-3000 rpm approx, often followed by the engine dying. It will appear to go away when the car is warmed up. Is that what you're experiencing? Or is it just hard to start at all? Did the stealership change the intake gasket?

I have the same problem with my Idle being irradick (spelling?). Is it defienatley the leaking gasket? If so, is it a bear to replace? Does the Haynes manual show how to replace it? Thanks, Shawn
