VTEC Controllers

Hey, I was just looking on Ebay at Integra parts today and I noticed that they sell VTEC Controllers. Think these will truly increase acceleration at all by putting the engine into high-lift mode early? How do you wire one of these to your car?

maybe not alot but I bet it would help a bit, the other good thing about them though is most allow you to change the fuel maps in small increments over the rev rang.
