i want to put a b-18 or a h22 in my 2000 civic lx but i have a few questions. how can i do this legally, can those engines fit with out major body mods. i also want to keep my power steering. i know that their is a way to do it legally but if its cheaper i might do it the other way. i just dont want my car impounded.

well alot of times i hear people talking about being smog legal but they say if you get a motor that is the same hear as your car or newer then it will be legal. h22 will be to much modification i think for you. the b18c will be great for your car but make sure you get a obd2b motor that is the same wiring that is in your car and it will be much easier.

also, if you live in Cali, all JDM motors are out of the question. they won't pass smog
