alternator problem?

i installed the headlight buzzer thing earlier this week. around that time, whenever i'd try to start the car, it would seem to have a dead battery type of situation. it cranks slow like there's not enough juice and then starts. then when i removed the headlight buzzer the day after it went away and it starts normally now like nothing ever happened. is there a way to test the alternator? the battery, starter, and main relay is pretty new so i don't think that's the problem

That's odd. Yes there is a way to test the starter, alt, & battery I'll provide you with links. Are you sure the "buzzer" was hookep up correctly with the right part?
http://fourthgenhatch.com/headlightbuzzer.html - I don't suggest jamming the wire and fuse in together, there are special piggy-back adapter for this sole purpose. With the wire stuck in the fuse socket, you enlarge the opening eventually resulting in a intermnt. loose connection.

Instead of doing all that bs, there is *new* equipment that can do all that by simply connecting to the batter & running some quick tests, matter of 2 minutes max! Our tester is from Interstate, we got for free since we sell their batteries. Other shops & auto parts stores have the same stuff & should be able to run the test for free since it is so fast, we would run the test for at least. It's pretty cool how it checks everything & then gives a printed report of the test, pretty good at estimating when your batter will fail.

If I got a dollar for each one of the links I've posted, I'd be retired by now.
