This is the Craziest thing that I have ever done wrong. I messed this Honda Civic up. I clear coated the carbon fiber hood and it cracked. I was going to throw it away, but we decided to play around with it. I took a small torch and started to heat the hood up. then i took a little putty and made this. Tell me what you think.

I did not mean to jack the thread on this one.. But somehow it happend...

It is Tamiya Epoxy Putty Quick type
from http://matrixcollectibles.site.yahoo.net/info.html

http://www.wickedwerx.com/lance/tepqt.gif

Or you can get it from any Good LHS... But the LHS here is anti Tamiya so I have to order my Tamiya stuff....

It takes some time to do but it will be worth it ..

If you need a new hood to start over with let me know i have a few ...

Hope this helps ..

nice hood dude. I've heard stories of turbo hb civics that had CF hoods, and under extreme turbo heat(sick burnouts and runing maxx boost up to 8500rpm's) that the turbo's heat actually melted part of the hood. Never seen pics, but have heard it from a guy that 'supposingly' saw it. what else do you have in store?

which one of the putty's did you buy? 18.00, 4.00, or the 6.00 dollr one. and if you bought the 6 dollar one did you get the smooth or the quick?
