1990 Dodge Daytona ES tranny problem

my 1990 dodge daytona es is stuck in 1st or 2nd gear(most likely 1st, only got about 45).anyway, dont know what to do. dont know whether to replace tranny or try something else. any help is appreciated.

Have you checked the gear oil level in the tranny.
