I'm looking forward in getting one of the following; Mazda MX-3 (either one), Golf Mk3 (any year), or Nissan NX1600. With about $4500 to spend on a car with no more than ~180,000Kms, and good driving cond't.
May do some modding later on on both in/exterior.

I have no clue about either one of these, cause right now I own an American car.

I want your opinions on why I should get one car over the other.
Please no comments such as "the car looks gay"

Thanks a Lot

well LOTS of my freind owns golf and always break down..pretty much everybody that has owned one said they'll never buy one again..performance wise the golf isn't too much powerfull...my friend owns a golf III and doesn't pull hard enough...about the mx3...mazda are known too be costly when it comes to fixing it but it breaks down rarely...i myself have a 1992 mx3 gs and ahd NEVER had a problem with it...the gs beats the golf easily on a 1/4 mile race....i can't really comments on the nissan cause i never drove one....and the mx3 with very little money can be upgraded to a 200hp beast....AND LET ME TELL YOU IT KICKS ASS.. :iceslolan

First off...I have never heard of a NX1600, but Nissans are usually pretty reliable. Having said that, I would still choose the MX3. It is extremely light, and if done up properly, will tear the sh*t out of any golf. My MX3 has 250,000 miles (don't know how many km that is) on the engine without ever being rebuilt, and I'm still giving golfs and jettas wedgies. It's overall a better car. And, though I like the golf, I like the mx3 better...but that's just me. Well...I hope that helped.
