Just aslin, but has anyone put NOS on a turbo'd WRX? Proferably an '02, but I don't care if the car is earlier.

Yes they have. What most people don't understand is that NOS has an even better effect on Turbocharged cars. Most people have just seen TF&TF too many times. It significantly lowers inlet temperatures so when used on a turbo cars, it is just like a thumping great intercooler that lowersinlet temperatures and allows as much as 15 lbs boost to be achieved by the turbo.

nos on a turbo engine is the best way to go, i drag a 5.0L twin turbo'd 89' mustang with a 150HP shot NOS system and race in the street outlaw class(which to all u novice racers out there that is the 9 sec and under class). the fastest 1/4 mile time i got on my turbo'd 5.0L is a 8.34 sec. @ 163 mph and believe me, NOS on a turbo is the way to go!

you can use it on a turbo... either as a major power adder, like the mustang, or
you can use it to spool the turbo, which is used on monster single turbo motors that have a lot of lag, (it decreases lag and spool time)
but you can use it... w/o problems...

i'm not big on NOS, if its not installed right, it tears up your engine....even if it is done right, it still does un-needed wear and tear to the engine, which if your like me, isnt good cause i want my car to run well, and for a long time. if i were you, i wouldnt put nos on a wrx. i'm going to be getting a wrx in a few months, and to me it just kinda defeats the purpose of the rally proven car...you could do alot more power increasing, cheaper things to it. but hey, its not my car, to each his own right? good luck

nitrous will give u the most hp per dollar of nearly any mod. and the wrx has a low compression ratio so it wouldnt be particularly bad for it as long as u didnt use TOO much. yes it will cause extra wear on your engine, but so does any other mod. and if youre considering nitrous, u prob race, and that isnt exactly GREAT for your motor either.

but NOS is so expensive. its like a couple time use and then you have to refill the bottle again.
im also not a NOS fan. i just think its pointless. like mentioned in fast and the furious "NOS is for beginners".
NOS does give you the extra hp you need when racing, but you dont race like all the time when your out.
but everyone has different opinions.
i would rather upgrade the turbine to get more power than getting NOS

i feel the same, but... like i said most hp per dollar, what other mod can give u 60-70 hp for $500? i was about a day away from putting nitrous on my subaru about december time, but found a 2nd car to buy instead. even though i wasnt really a fan of nitrous, i was on a budget and it would have given me the best results for the money i had.
