Hello everyone,
I just bought a 95 Sonata and of course the battry was dead. This caused the radio to go into "code" mode. Does anyone know how to get ahold of these codes without paying the dealer $65?
Thanks Steve

You will have to pull the radio out and get the chassis number and serial number off the radio. Call the dealership with those numbers and they can get the code for you.

Does the radio code also happen on the 2006 Sonatas?
The thought of pulling out the radio really bothers me.
Is this the only way to get the radio back to work?
Or can I get the number somewhere else now, in preparation?
My car is new, but I've gone through lots of batteries with other cars.
Especially on winter, week-end evenings!
Thanks,
Suzanna

No. Hyundai did away with the whole radio code thing years ago.
