I have a Kenwood rotating face plate stereo. I just took both amps out of my car...and now when I start the car the face wont rotate. I know there's this little code where you push the left hand corner 2 or 3 times to flip it around, but that doesnt work.
If anyone knows how to flip this face around...help me out.
Thanks

if it is motorized, you could have popped a fuse while takin the amps out. check to make sure you dont have the blue remote turn on wire for the amp just dangling behind the radio, because if it touches anything metal, a fuse will go. so wrap up that turn on wire good. then make sure all the red/white outputs coming form the radio have something covering their metal ends. after all that is done, check the fuse on the back of the radio...if its bad(hopefully it is) just replace it. are you getting any power at all to the radio?

When I took the amps out, I left all wires there...well I covered all the ends with electrical tape. Nothing is loose behind the stereo at all. All I did was take the amps out, and now when I start the car, face wont flip around.

did you check the fuse in the back of the head unit though, that could easily be the culprit. and a quick fix.

and if the fuse is blown, hopefully it is because you just momentarily touched power to ground, and not because a wire is cut somewhere from being tugged on.

No I havent checked the back of the unit yet...i'll go and do that.
I dont know if this had anything to do with it or not, but i had to have my car's battery jumped, would that have blown something?? *dont laugh, i'm a girl* lol

Update...checked everything, there is power and there is no loose wires. You can hear the motor trying to flip the face when I start the car...but still nothing moves.

I had a perfessional install it, and it's been in my car for at least two years with no problems till now. Just thought maybe it had to do something with taking out the amp.

Finally got it to rotate...it was locked. Dont know how that happened but thanks to eveyone who gave me advice.
Another question...since I took out the amp for the inside speakers, how can I wire the speakers back up so they can play with the amp?

wait a min, you took out the amp, now you're putting it back in? uhh make up your mind.. anyways to get it going again, just hook up all the wires (make sure they are the right ones + to + and - to - and make sure your remote 12v supply wire is hooked up to turn your amp on when you start your car.

No...I want the speakers the play without the amp, so sorry I messed up a word.
I just wanna hear sound, instead of nothing when I drive.
