It's 1:30 in the morning and I can't sleep. I just got a call from my dad ( Where the GN is staying for the winter.) and he just got done talking to the county police. Four guys broke into my dads grage and attempted to steal my car. This is the 3rd time since last may!!!!! When will it stop??? :banghead: . They did not catch them when the police came they scattered into the woods next to my dads house. I wonder what stoped them from taking the car considering the keys where in it.... Was it a dead battery? perhaps they just got scared. Or maybe it was the fact that the Engine is in front of the car turned upside down in the middle of a main bearing replacement :grinno: . I put the hood back on the car so it would not get bent up. Guess it is hard to see in the dark. :lol2:

I'm the director of the local GSCA chapter, so I hear alot of the stories. Makes you sick. One guy came home at 3:00 am and when he went back out at 5:30 am the car was gone! Another guy only got his car back because the nimrods that stole it spun a bearing. The insurance for GN's is quite a bit higher than for T-Types. I got a call from the insurance company asking if my car was a GN, I said, "no, T-Type." It dropped it from a 26 to a 24 (whatever THAT means) and the difference over four years just about paid a 6 month premium.

My insurace for the Buick is cheaper than for my Ranger. And the Buick is full coverege. The ranger is liabiality only. My payments for one month is like 55 bucks full coverege!!!! I went into the insurance office and asked them if they realized it was a GN they just said yes and I went on my way.

Cool! One thing, though. If you haven't had a PROFESSIONAL appraisal, do so. If (heaven forbid) someone does steal your car, your insurance company will try to give you Kelly Blue Book (i.e., nothing) for it. With a professional appraisal, they'll have a tougher time.
