Hey guys i got a couple questions..I need to know how we install JDM power window conversions and JDM Power Folding mirrors on our USDM crx's/civics??
The reason i ask is since we didnt have the power options here in the states from the factory at all..how do we install is WITHOUT A WIRING HARNESS ?.I was all set to buy both items off ebay when my friend ran that by me that i would need a wiring harness to make them work .
Sooo if anyone can clear this up or let me in on the secret on how ya did it that would be good
Oh yah one more quick question...for all that installed a jdm glass roof..was it very expensive or reasonable?..the installation .

Nah homie, I do not know about the folding mirrors, but you do not need a wiring harness for the pwr windows and most likely you cold do the mirrors without it as well.
I am putting pwr windows in my crx, and it basically a bolt in affair, then cut and splice. The jdm mirrors are rhd drive so the passenger would be able to contol your window. There is an installation guide for the jdm pwr window conversion on the lh side for usdm on the zcsource.com ???

I think that you can place the controls from the mirrors on the drivers side, or at least I'm sure of it for my car anyway.
Check and see if the stuff doesn't come with harnesses. If not, have fun.

Wait what do you splice and connect the wires to if we dont have the harnesses to connect them to?.
Hey optimus ,are you saying the 4-doors have power options? if so could the harnesses be used from that one?

power windows and power mirrors (they adjust not fold)
in theory you could use some of the wiring but how or what to hook the folding wires to ... i dont think anyone has done that yet. might want to try a search or maybe someone will know.

The USDM power mirrors adjust - true - but the JDM mirrors electronically fold in towards the body.
My DX h/b has wiring harnesses between each door and nothing electrical for them to hook up to. I could be wrong, but I'm willing to bet that the 4dr LX & EX power window wiring would plug right in.

The NORMAL JDM CRX mirrors dont fold in. We get JDM, they dont do that. Some might, but I've NEVER seen it. I HAVE seen it on Nissan's though, lol.

yeah was going to say the same thing as slave, nissans have mirrors that fold in manually which if you could find a way to swap them to your car would be just as good and cost considerably less.
For pwr windows all you need to do is hit up your local junkyard and get the regulators from the 4d4g ex, you can even take the switches (this is what I did) that way you get everything in 1 spot, the regulators bolt right in and all you have to do is take the tracks from your crx windows and put them on the regulators(crx windows are much longer). The regulators have 2 wires (4 on the drivers side but you only need 2) and you want to take these and connect them to the switch and then wire 2 more wires from the switch to a 12v and a ground (making 4 total wires going to the switch) you may want to add a fuse for each regulator in which case just take the pwr window fuse assembly from the ex, and use it as 12v source. If you have any question holla at the kid or do a search on the internet and You will find some help(I did).

No no ... i ment that you would have to figure out a way to get the folding deal wired into the power windows as no USDM mirrors fold ... and as we clarrified no JDM honda mirrors, but nissan instead.

Totally incorrect statement. The EFs (and EEs) NEVER came with mirrors that electonically folded in. EVER
The mirrors were powered, but you have to fold the body in manually.
Any that you have seen are off later Hondas, NOT off an EF.

You yanks will believe anything you are told about JDM EFs. It's like the dick that told me that the SiR badges on the back wern't real and that they came with a leather wheel. They didn't.
Sheesh, I own an EF9 that was fully optioned except for the LSD and fog lights. I know this because I contacted the original owner.
So I reiterate: There are no such thing as power bodies for your mirrors, just the mirrors themselves. They are however, off another Honda and YES they do fit your domestic EDs.
Sheesh
