ok so ive been thinking this alot probly along with some others.
is there anyway to put the engine that comes in the 3000gt vr4 into an eclipse.
i know you guys are going to say that i would be better off with the eclipse engine, but the v-6 had the good low end tq. and plus its twinturbo
and something else is there any way to put the awd tranny in it to

As far as the engine goes... I'm not sure. I doubt it would fit.. and you'd almost def have to cut your wheel wells. and rewire everything... just a massive headache. The awd tranny I know is possible.. but also a royal pain in the ass. You're talkin about some serious money. You're best bet would be to take that money and build the engine and tranny you have. You'd probably end up with better results and half the headaches. but.. thats just my :2cents:

ditto on the eclipse motor. there is no reason to do otherwise.

well there is one reason why i dont like the eclipse motor and that is crankwalk, but that can be fixed by putting in a 6-bolt swap

Twins are not the best. Have you never heard of the Supra guys converting the twins to a single turbo? Its a lot better that way.

thats not just the supra guys. Its becuase its a bigger single turbo, better than two smaller turbo's. In the final 1000+ hp range of the supra, a big twin turbo setup is used....its phuckin' mean....$32,000 for the kit, $20,000 supra....ill do that after my dsm :lol2:
well there is one reason why i dont like the eclipse motor and that is crankwalk....
Did you get crankwalk, if not, whats the problem then?

The percentage of crankwalk on 2g 4g63t engines is very low. And as long as you watch your engine and take good care of it things shouldn't got wrong. I believe there is a thread on here deticated to crankwalk. The amount of difference you get on your low end torque from a 6 cylinder won't be worth the loss of the turbo. Not to mention the money you're gonna dump into it. Plus tryin to strap a 6 cylinder to a gsx tranny will be a royal pain in the ass and prob be deadly for it. Whatever your hatred for the 4 cylinder is I don't know, but in my opinion you'd def be better saving all that money you'd put into buyin a 6, dropping it, getting a tranny.. I mean thats a LOT of money. You could easily take care of you low end torque problems, upgrade anything you want, and build a better car than you'd have with all the swaps you want to do. Either way though... it's your money, and your car. Whatever your do to make you happy.
