Turbo DX vs Supra

Ok so there I was, just crusing to my boys shop, I've been cruising now with the settings right on the AFC pushing about 9 lbs max on a full race run so I'm pretty happy for the little engine that could.

I don't know if anyone is familar with the game Tokyo Extreme Racing Zero for PS2 but out of no where this black supra just pulls up next to me right like in slow motion like they do in the game. I just turned my head and heard a deep rumble and then all of the sudden punches it, chirps, and shoots in front of me to get out of the way of the car that was in front of him while we pull up to this light. So now I'm directly behind him and see all these TRD stickers all over his car. TRD exhaust, TRD wing, TRD body kit, I believe it was a 95 supra around that period.

Now we are on this road that pretty much has no police on it and it's a hill country road so it's just pavement and grass next to you, nothing out here, very curvy also with a few straights, and no lights after this one. So the light changes green and he gets on it like no tomorrow, leaves me a for a sec and then slows down. I catch up to him, I know i was in third right before my power band, i don't know where he was at, all i know we both punch it, i punched it first, past him for a sec or two, he caught up, we were neck and neck for like another 3 secs and i guess his TURBO spooled up by this time cause he left me like i was going in reverse. A big ass back fire came out and he was gone into the curves, he beat me by about 6 cars, but what's funny, when he put his hazards on, i was at 100 so i know he had to be doing some serious speeds. I called my friend at the shop and was like i just got my ass handed to me by a supra, he said was it black, i said yeah, he said that guy is like 60 with a single turbo convo, and like 60k back into the car, and he normally drives it on that road to get on it when he's mad at his kids or wife. I was like wtf! I got killed but it was worth it.

You should have hit him a couple of times to see if his life points would go down then pass him and block his path until it all drains and go look for some other people to race by flashing your lights at them :p

Lol. all the domestics smoke my RX7 in that game, had to use the "viper" to keep up. Anyways, that sounds tight. I only know of a few Supras owned by rich doctors and what not in Visalia, but there are others around here.

i raced a supra about a month or so ago...made a thread in here about it. it went alot like your thread did. just makes your heart sink when you get on it that hard and see a car pass you going more than twice as fast...kind of puts things in perspective.

dkshadow: great post man! that game kicked ass. my roommate in school last year had that game and didnt even have a playstation. he was always f-in using mine...probably the same reason that i never got past the 95.6% of gran turismo 3 and we never got along. anyway. great death fnkdrspok...

Sounds like fun. Its better to have raced and lost than to have never raced at all. Reminds me of the countless M3s, Teggies, WRX's, and the Viper (yes Viper) that I've raced. Gotta try. :sunglasse
