12A - Rebuild Kits?

Howdy Everyone!!

Does anyone know if you can pick up a rebuild kit for a 12A motor?
And WHERE????

Which would be the best route to go
[1] purchase a rebuilt motor for 1800 Smackers
[2] locate a used 12A motor
[3] rebuild one yourself

About a year ago I must have blown the Apex seals out on one rotor. Absolutely ZERO compression on one side. I started to tear it down & didn't have time, so I left it & picked up a nice Miata.
Well, the car still sits here & I am now either wanting to rebuild it or scrap it.

Any answers would be much appreciated!!

I would try to locate a good running original 12A

I still have 4 spares for my ITA car, I have sold them in the past for $200 (have sold 2 of them)

$200 is far cheaper than a rebuild.

IF you do decide to rebuild... Try to find an 81/82 12A and rebuild it.

I dont mean to hijack this thread, but i didnt see the need to start a new one... My friend picked up an 80 rx-7 scca car... The guy he got it from has all the receipts on the motor work and such... Its turboed. The problem is it has an ihi turbo on it... and one of the oil seals is bad and we cannot find one to replace it with. If anyone can help please let me know...
