Have a 97 gran prix se. Right front bearing went bad so I changed it now there is a thumping noise coming from that wheel the rotot doesn't seem to fit that well either but was installed just like the last one.Father in laws car done the same thing but he just sold his. Is there a tsb or maybe something they changed on the later years. Any help thanks

you tightend everything down when you changed it right? I mean the kotter pin was replaced and the wheel tightened down all the way. I know I went one time to Discount tires for some new tires and they didn't tighten the wheel down all the way and it was making a thumping noise everytime I turned a corner........kinda scary now that I look back on it.

have you had any work done to it such as tranny work or any other type of work that would require them to drop the front crossbeam on you frame.

My car does the same thing only on the left front wheel bearing, only when i turn slowly. The mechanics around my area have all been stupified as they should be cause they don't know shit about GP's. It started doing it after i had replaced the front left wb. I also had my car's steering pinion bearing replaced as to the 97 GT recall, and i also had my stabalizer bar replaced. Still pops when turning, mechanics thought that was cv joint, but were baffled once again. probably never going to be able to get it fixed....
