ghetto DIY Camber kit

oki first off im kinda low on the $. damn college tuition..... But i just purchased a set of neuspeed race springs that lowers my 97 teg by about 2 inches. i know i'll need a camber kit cuz it's gonna chew ma tires up if i dont put one on there. Im gonna purchase the drop zone front camber (probably from ebay cuz those mofo's r cheap on there). i read on some site that for the rear cambers, i can just put in a few washers or spacers on the rear upper arm where it mounts to the body of the car. It seems like a logical thing to do and it looks like it might work. i just want to know what r ur views on this "ghetto" DIY camber job? do u see any forthcoming disaters head n my way if i do this? i'll probably need a bigger bolts to install the rear upper arm to the body.

I agree 100% upgrade to grade 8 bolts and get them longer too. Be sure to torque them back to 20lbft. Also make sure that you get an alignment as soon as you install the camber kit. Also try and install the camber at the same time as the springs, because when you lower the car the camber is going to become negative and it will make the toe change aslo, that is the biggest tire wearing adjustment.

ayight cool. im welcoming all this positive feedback =) i taught i'd get flamed for try n to do a cheap ass ghetto camber install. so i'll get me some grade 8 bolts from home depot and do the install. u guys have n e idea how much alignment is gonna cost me?

around here alignments are $50 but well wothr it! Also try to go to an auto parts store like Napa if you have them where you live.
