ECU swapping for Performance

I was wondering what everyone knows about changing out your cars ECU. I heard they can boost power signifcantly and aren't do expensive, correct my if I am wrong. I drive a 2000 Accord EX 4cyl 5spd. Also any good sites on this topic would be helpful. Thanks

You must be talking about a ecu chip? If you are they are a waste of money unless you go to a dyno and have a person who knows what they are doing to custom burn you a chip. The problem with ecu chips is that they person who made the chip cannot burn one chip that is best for every car, it needs to be done on a car by car basis.

yeah, it it will only yeild profitable gains if you have already put a lot of work into it. the stock ecu's can do a pretty good job at keeping up with low power mods. if i were you, i would just save up for a haltech stand alone system if you have high hp goals.
