Kix -
How much farther apart did you place the portholes? I like the pics they look great. The PA has a slightly different curve to the front fender, so they have to go a little higher, but I like your spacing. i SHOULD by eight - like the Park Aves ( Electra) USED to have. That was the way to tell the diff between an Electra, and Centurys and Lesabres - Electras had 4 portholes on each side, and the rest had 3 on each side!!!
They look great!!!
Agree, the top of the line Buicks, say the Roadmaster, would have the 4 portholes.
I vote for 4 on the PA!

the number of portholes is in relation to the # of engine cylenders, a V6 gets 3 on each side, and a V8 gets 4 on each side.

This was the same thing Buick said when I asked them about only having 3 portholes on the Ultra. Back when they used to use portholes all the time they only offered V8 engines. The number of portholes were based on the model lines with the Super and Roadmaster getting 4 portholes. I didn't know that the new portholes were actually through the fender. I may just have to get some.

Thank you everyone who posted here. I've been looking all over the place for a month to find info about these portholes. You guys answered all my questions. I'd like to see a close up pic of the stick ons and the OEM's to be sure otherwise I'll probably go with OEM. I'm not putting them on a buick at all. Once I get them done I'll post some pics. I think you guys will be impressed.
Thanks again,
Jon

Hello,
Newbie here but just thought I'd chime in on this post with a observation and thought. First, before applying these portholes with a tape I would highly sugest a quality 2 sided tape from 3M. It was on a accessory I put on my Suburban and wow did it stick! It was a rear spoiler so I had the area to put screws in it but once down I couldn't move it.
Also preparation is the key to it sticking good. Make sure surface is free of any wax and oils, then prep the area with rubbing alcahol. This should help the portholes stick great.
I did a search on the internet and found these porthole for $95. Can't remember the websight but may be able to find it doing a search.
Hope this helps,
Chad

The portholes are functional on the newer Park Avenues, I know this because that is one one of the questions I asked when I took a tour of the GM Plant in Massena NY. They had a car display showing most of the GM cars. The ports work to cool the engine compartment.
With all due respect to you and the tour guide, I find that hard to believe.
First of all, there can't be all that much of a heat problem in that engine
compartment since my 95 PA does just fine without them. Second, the holes are far too small to matter much.
These things are a feeble attempt to harken to better days in the past.
