Keyless Entry Problems

I have a 1999 Honda Accord EX Sedan. I have had problems with the keyless entry system for the last month or so. Specifically, there seems to be times when the remote is not causing the doors locks to raise. I have noticed that it seems to occur when it is cold. I assumed at first it was the keyless entry remote itself.

I have two remotes, so I changed one out. I also thought, oh ok, this will solve the problem. It didn't. In fact, sometimes when I try to use it, and then try to open the lock with a key, it pops up. It seems almost delayed in that instance.

Any ideas?

Josh

Alright , heres two suggestions that may work.

I read this on another forum with a similar problem to yours. I've heard of this method of resetting your Multiplex .So heres the link.

And my second suggestion would be to reprogram your keyless entry. This is very simple. I've done it on my accord. I have a 99 ex coupe.

Heres that link:

Oh yeah , one other thing, once you start reprogramming your remotes, make sure you do all of them at the same time because once you start the system is gonna reset all of the remotes. But the process is very easy. Please believe this
