Smoky Focus

I have a Ford Focus 1.8LX (English) and I recently noticed severe smoking of the exhaust. At a cruising speed of 70-80MPH it's fine, but if foot is applied hard to overtake, or to go past 120mph the car really smokes badly, with lots of whitey grey smoke, it's only done 34,000 miles, don't tell me it's burning oil allready

if it was oil the exhaust would look more blue...if it is grey to black it is really burning rich...
something is up with a sensor in the fuel area...anything like a cam positioning sensor or anything like that...see if the engine is throwing any codes

change your oil and see if it persists.
and how the hell did you get your focus to 120. arent they limited to 105?

No they do 123mph and do 0-60 in 9.9, wheras the ST170 only does 124MPH, but gets o-60 in 8.something.

The head gasket may be messed up. this is due to not checking your radiator fluid regularly and changing the oil. especially if you push your car to much. It causes to much heat in the engine and can cause the gasket to warp.
