DC sports headers

i got a 2 piece set of 4-2-1 headers and i was wondering if anyone else had put them on. are there any pointers on how to have the installation go smoothly?
also does anyone know the hp increase these have on a 2000 ls? :naughty:

More info is needed to "guess" what kind of gain you will get, like do you have an exhaust system, intake etc. As far as installing it, it is fairly straight foward. Remove the stock manifold and replace with the Dc, I have found though that it is easier to install the top half then the bottom half, when you install the top half don't tighten the bolts all the way leave them loose untill you get everything in place. Also be sure to wipe off all gresse etc with a rag before starting the car, this will help prevent a stain in the Ceramic coating.

but if its a yellow stain, taht add's 15 extra hp, because its the color of speed :biggrin: .

i have a aem cai o go along with the headers. soon i'll get a cat back exhaust.

so will a header bolt up to a stock exhaust? cause i wont be able to get it all at once

Don't expect amazing gains from the header. With just a CAI you're looking at 2-3whp for adding the header. Once you have all 3 you will have 10-15whp more than stock.
