hey i installed my fog lights and a problem occurred. so lights mounted
all connections made. except for one thing. the mini-relay thingamabobber connected to the switch has these:
1. ground. 2. switch 3. a random red wire with open tip.
what do i do with the red wire? according to my research, it's supposed to be in "ignition power source" where is that? i never knew that it would be so complex, as to need connections to the ignition. any help would be appreciated. thanks

a light bulb turned on and i just realized that the "mini relay" i meant was the harness. sorry about that, i had a mind block

Hav eyou connected a wire to the battery or a power source yet? It sounds like you have no power to the relay. Check all the connections again and double check the wiring diagram.

Does your kit for the fog lights have a light in the switch? If so, that red wire is probably the power source for the light in the switch. Do you have a circuit tester? If you do, find a power source that only works when the ignition is on. Hook that line up to that and Bob is your father(or mother's) brother(read:uncle.) :iceslolan

thanks guys but i figured it out. the red wire from the harness leads to another power source, for me, it was the spliced headlight. now they work even without ignition, cuz headlights get power even with engine off. that's what i wanted. only problem now is i wanna use parking light and fogs only, so tomorrow i'll unsplice, and splice to the side marker light. thanks guys
