taillights

i have a big problem, my taillights just stopped working and at the same time the instrument panel lights stopped too ive been through all the fuses first looking at all of them then testing them for continuity im not sure if it may be a relay. any suggestions????? i have to drive at night with my foot on the brake so people dont run into me

Did ya check the fuse box under the hood by the intake?

it was the headlight switch and there is a recall for it
