I was hoping someone would know how many pounds of boost a VR-4 could handle stock because i want to run it up to about 20 psi, and was also wondering what kind of modifications i would have to add.

you should be able to do 20 on a stock engine, you just have to have good fuel control, and prevent knock.

is he talking about boosting the stock turbo's up or adding upgraded turbo's?
just making sure cause you don't wanna boost the stock turbo's up that high

I just had a new APEXi boost control instaled last week by Intense Motor Sports ( Intensepower.com ) They told me I DON'T won't boost over 13 psi. with my stock car because it could cause EXSTREM damage to the motor. They know there shit so I would highly recomend you tack the same advice they gave me.You need to wait untill you do some costlly upgrades befor you try to boost over 13 psi or you might be sitting beside the road. Good luck!!

The actual limit is 14.5 psi before potential damage occurs. So 13 psi is a safe way to go. I would highly recommend an aftermarket analog boost gauge to go with the EBC. It is much easier to read when you're driving.
