So you're not comparing the Evo to the WRX? Just the plain Lancer to the plain Impreza?

hahaha of course hes goin to mean the WRX STi vs the lancer evo 7. i mean its only fair to compare cars of the same class. well i'm goin to pic the lancer over the impreza. one cusae it looks maad nice in black lowered. 2, it has an active diff that lets you change the settings on the fly for gravel, snow, and asphalt. now that is nice~~:flash:

I have to say I like the new Impreza styling, but IŽll go definitively with the Lancer Evo VII. The Impreza has a cheap dashboard and the Mitsu doesnŽt. Ok, more important, wich one is faster???

Man this debate runs high in the two lands downunder to. The Evo is a wild car! Out of the box they are extremely strong and reliable while the WRX has always has gearbox issues to worry about. Both were designed to compete in the WRC ( World Rally Championship ), but the Evo comes better prepared out of the box. It already has the upgraded suspension, front mounted intercooler, and one very strong drive train.

The WRX is heavier and has a styling you either like or hate. Nothing inbetween.

Both are feice off road machines. On the asphault it comes quite a close race as the WRX has a bit more torque, while the Evo may actually have a bit more out right power. In show room stock trim there really isn't much in it. I have raced against both and would say the Evo is slightly quicker down the 1/4, but again that could be more driver than car. Either way I smashed the both. I have also had rolling goes against both and on the open road the WRX holds it's own pretty well.

Cost wise I believe the Evo is higher, but in the world of performance sometimes you get what you pay for.

I would go with the Evo in stock trim.
