I have a 92 and the drivers window drags and will stop. I have to let it sit for a while then I can roll it up. I had the motor replaced when I got it (same problem) fixed for a while (5 years). Just as puzzled....

Our 98 had this problem in both directions soon after we bought it. Mr. Goodwrench "fixed" it and it came back again a few years later. The trim panel on the door hasn't been the same since and I'm tired of American crap like this van. Gonna drive it into the ground and move to Toyota or Honda for my next NEW car purchase.

If you have access to service bullitens (through a nice dealer or ALLDATA), you'll see one on this issue. The plastic channel causes the problem. HotDog mentioned his trim panel hasen't been the same since the repair, the mechanic obviously did a poor job replacing this part.

I have a 99 and seem to have the same problem on both the drivers and pasengers window. The driver's window stops going up and I replaced the window lift motor and go no improvement. The passenger window is just slow.

So my problem must be the plastic channel as well. What is the fix?

The ALLDATA service Bulletin says to replace the window seal. The Window Apparantly wears through the seal and drags on the rubber. Here is a qucik and easy fix. Go to Lowes or an autoparts store and buy some spray silicon lubricant. Put the window all the way down and spay the lubricant in the window seal channel on both sides. I used the red extension tube that came with the lubricant to make sure it was only going into the channel. Be careful not to overspray, becasue it can be messy to clean up. Your window should now slide much easier. I did this a couple month ago and have not had any problems since.

Don't use WD40 or other sprays like that. I'd also recommend cleaning out the channels as well. A cloth or paper towel wrapped around a decent sized screwdriver work well. Dip the cloth in alcohol then clean out the channel. THEN lubricate it.
