Brake Replacement

Has any one with a new 2003 RR had a problem with the brake pads wearing unusually fast?

My 2003 RR has 24K miles. The brake sensor light came on and I took in for service. I was advised that the pads and rotors needed to be replaced, $800.

When I enquired as to this being soon for highway miles. I was informed by the service manager that I was doing well several customers had been in at around 15K.

Furthermore, he said that RR was trying to find a spec for pads that would last longer but still stop the car.

The oil change is free at 15K, you just have to pay for the brake pads and rotors.

yep. quite normal, however you went too far if you damaged the rotors. The dealer should have told you the wear when they did the 15k service. Look at your Goodyear tires: junk!!
