If by conjecture, one supposes to speculate on the possibilities inherent in theory, it would seem conceivable by chance to surmise all suppositions with less than empirical evidence, while expressing an opinion, not fact.

Therefore I state not logic, but rather derive, by means of speculation that which is wholly unproven, to form a hypothesis into which further conjecture is required . . .
