This story isn't too terribly interesting or important...
I was dropping my car off to have a flat tire fixed and I see a 328i purchased in Boston Massachusetts, at Herb Chamber's dealership. (It says so on the plastic piece mounted to the liscence plate.)
Then I think Wait...where have I seen that name before?
Then I remember that Herb Chambers owns a F1 =)

So I was watching TV last night, and the "Tonight Show" came on and I was like "Wow - that's Jay Leno!!! He owns a McLaren F1!!!"
Sorry, I couldn't resist amanichen. :evillol:
EDIT: On that note, I actually saw Jay Leno two weekends ago driving his Blastolene Special down the 101 FWY near my home. He was going the opposite direction, but if you follow this link you'll see why the car and him were immediately recognizable.

More photos here (http://www.clubhotrod.com/photopost/showgallery.php?cat=507&si=&thumb=1&page=5&sort=1&perpage=12&papass=&ppuser=&stype=).
Great photo of him driving it here (http://www.tamsoldracecarsite.net/JayLenoBeast1.jpg).
As I'm sure you will notice, this thing is a monster.

quick make a new thread, it's a golden opp!
(better stop now)
PS: Peloton or anyone, do you have any good hi res pics of the 92' F1 Monte-Carlo launch, preferably the ones from D.A or are they unseen?

There aren't really any great photos of the Monaco Launch as I believe that cameras were not allowed into the event. McLaren does have photos from the event and a few those appear in "Driving Ambition" and I think there are one or two more in the Autocar book. The press was allowed to take photos of the car outside the following day, and a lot of the photos of the Clinic Model you will find were taken then, but there's still not a lot.

If you post an off the wall topic, you're bound to get some off the wall replies. There's no need to take it personally, we were just having a bit of fun. :)

I Love Leno's taste in cars, has anyone or himself mentioned his F1 on the Tonight Show ever?

I'm not a regular viewer, so I wouldn't really know. He has been known to do a few spots here and there that are car related like the time he had that burnout competition against Tim Allen's Saleen Mustang SR racecar in the NBC parking lot.
His show needs to appeal to a very broad audience though and remain topical, so from what I've seen I doubt the opportunity would ever come up.
Side note: The year before I really became interested in the McLaren F1, I saw Jay at the VIP Preview night for the LA Auto Show. That would have been an excellent opportunity to approach him about seeing his F1. If I had only known...

I think Jesse James, from monster garage for instance, made a reference to it on the show when he was a guest there.
