Got a 95 GT vert AOD. I have Bassani x-pipe and flowmaster exhaust. I bought a vortech supercharger. Now I am planning on doing everything at once and I wanna make sure its done right the first time. I am planning to drop round 3-5k and would like some advice before I proceed. I'm not looking for a drag car nor going to the strip(since not any real close)...just a summer driver to play around in and stomp the ricers around here.
I was thinking of the holley systemax for h/c/i...heard its pretty good bang for the buck. I was told AFR heads are better, but may not work as good with holley intake and cam...as the holley heads would be better. Recommendations on head cc(brand names too), cam (size) and intake?
I was thinking of getting forged pistons to handle the power increase...I will need them right? Whats a good brand and type?
I was gonna get around a 2400rpm converter, tranny cooler and 4:10 gears. Anyone know with 4:10 gears at 70mph how many rpm you spin? I dont do much highway travel, but if I do, I dont want it screaming down the highway.
Thinking about some BBK long tube headers.
Should I upgrade fuel injectors as well? MAM? MAF? The supercharger comes with a fuel pump...but is it good enough?
Aluminum driveshaft and underdrive pulleys worth getting?
I was gonna also get subframe connectors. I have yokohama 255/35 tires on enkei rims for traction. Im kinda worried about wheel hop though.

I dont have the tools to do all this work so I wanna get it all done at once to save on labor costs. Soooo...I wanna get everything I'll need upfront and get a good plan before I start ordering. Is there anyhing im forgetting that I may need? I know I will run into another weak link but I would like to alleviate most weak links now if I can. I'm just looking for a good setup.

Thanks for any advice you can offer and thanks for taking the time to read this thread.

Woa, one thing at a time. To describe the perfect Mustang would take all day, and you will get a different answer from every person you ask. If you want to hang out with the big boys you gotta know your shit. An engine is nothing but a complex air pump. More air in, more air out=more hp. Good induction, exhaust, spark, and fuel are basic parts of an efficent powerplant. Subscribe to the Mustang mags like 5.0, MM&FF. There is a wealth of knowledge in these. Keep asking questions, and reading.

For starters how much boost are you running guy? that will determine more than anything else if you should swap pistons, and if you havent yet changed the OEM headers that would be the 1st place to start before you go bolting on tons of other parts.
Since you dont want a "drag" car I would actually leave the stock cam intact (even though a blower cam would be a great upgrade). Stay away from the Systemax intake, thats too much intake for what you want unless you want to make peak power well over 6000 rpm (which you dont). If I were you I would go with the AFR 165cc heads and the TFS street heat intake, great combo and should keep you shifting well below 6000 rpm (excessive rpm's are BAD for stock bottom ends).I would def get biger injectors with the heads and intake even if your not running alot of boost and by all means get the subframes on there!!
I think 4:10's would be fine with your AOD and get a set of Nitto drag radials while your at it,these mods should pretty much destroy most goofy imports you come across.Theres lost of other items you will need to get to go along with the above not to mention a good data logging session on a chassis dyno. have fun dude.
