My g/f has an old Cavalier but is selling it soon for an RSX-S, and I don't know if I'll feel embarrassed or should feel good about it. I mean, it's cool she's getting a nice car, but dammit, don't get one nicer than mine :(

Anyways, I dont see why you should be embarrassed. Your car is you, its not cause thats all you could afford, but you built it and now look where its at, its nice and rare. That would kind of suck, but its not like she has a type r(but you do... sort of), dont let it bother you. Now she can drive you around.:greddy2:(j/k)

I didnt care, I was kidding, what you do is your business. Anyways, my gf I guess you could say, has a some nice cars, and even though theyre not all hers, people still see her driving them. Theyre not sports cars, but still, its nothing to really get embarrassed over.

Man you have a B16B and thats something to be proud of, it's not embarising. Driving a '90 Honda Integra XSi is embarrassing, but I like it. (you need a CTR spoiler or a Spoon one....

Well I dont have a gf at the moment, but right now one of my ex's is driving a 99 Range Rover, another one a 98 jetta, and another a 03 IS 300.

For some reason, when I see a girl with a better ride than her BF, it looks as if her BF mooches off of her...That was just a comment, not implying anything. As stated above, you have a b16b... a lot of us would have a CTR other an RSX-S anyday. As for me, I've got a 4dr gsr b20vtec and my BF has an M3 so my car has gone a long ways, a little more respect, whereas his car..well, it's an M3 =)

me!!!! i got a better ride..... lol....j/k well, he chipped in 3k bucks and paid for the mods.. and we drive whichever car we feel like... so i dunno which of us got a better one.. :)

I would most definately say that I have the nicer of the two vehiculars in the relationship. My g/f drives a Pastel Blue GEO TRACKER. The interior's trimmed in white and blue. It's pretty ridiculous!

My boy has a 99 integra Ls with JDM typeR conversion paint job cf hood shaved and a bunch of body stuff for import shows. his is in the shop again getting more body stuff done to it...so my car is behind in looks...but im faster!!!

He taught me how to launch and now i launch better than him hehe. but where he goes show...im going turbo! then my sportbike this year, and when im 21 i'm getting a $30K car (gift from parents for medical school)

Yeah faster doesn't always mean nicer.. Sometimes I'd rather have a nice big V6 sedan, but my Civic would be faster..

i pretty much have the nicer car than my g/f of 2 years: the 97 lude as opposed to her 95 civic EX...but i completely picked her car out and restored it to a driveable condition (bought the car for $2600, with 100,000mi on it...but exhaust was damaged in a BUNCH of different places, speedo didnt work and a few other minor things...) anyway i tried to get her to make that car 'nicer' than my lude, but she wasnt willing to front any money for it...so yes, yes my car is better...

as for you ricochet...is it just me or is this thread some kind of coping/compensating technique so that you can deal with the fact that your gal is gonna have a better car now???only kidding, to be honest, id rather have the type r anyway...well, no scratch that id take the RSX...you know, higher resale value...ha ha.

Back on topic though, looks like my g/f's Cavalier is dying an early death and she'll be getting that RSX sooner than planned. I pulled her plugs last night because the car was stuttering/dying, and they were coated in oil :( Poor head gasket.

My fiance had this thing about having the nicest car between me, her and my sister, some sort of mental "contest". Well, she had a 94 Civic DX, whereas I had an '82 Celica, beat to hell, that died a slow death on me, and my sister had a Beretta GT, kinda beat up. Then she got a '97 Civic DX a few years ago, with very low miles on it, and thought she was the shit. Soon after, I got my 99 Civic (the car I have now) and started to modify it, and my sister got a 99 EX.

Now my fiance doesn't care anymore, but we almost always take my car if we go out, kind of annoying cause she can't drive stick, so I rarely have a chance to drink.

My fiance's mom's car died two days ago because of the extreme cold, would turn over when you turned the key, but would not start. Before we had it towed, I pulled one of her plugs, and it was covered with oil as well. The mechanic told me it wasn't due to a head gasket, but most likely due to the cold weather. She needed a new battery, spark plugs, an oil change, and the car runs fine now. Same thing happened to my fiance's car the last two years.

But if she doesn't want to save the cavalier and get the RSX sonner than expected, I definitely understand :)

ex drives a 4-bangin 03 camry and i'm driving a 98 teg. i'm in the process of making my car look decent while she's keeping her car stock (forever). so right now she has the better ride but that'll change soon ;)

Well what could cause oil to blow up into the chambers? Doesn't make sense, unless the cold made the rings shrink a tiny bit or something.. She's been having the stuttering problem ever since winter came along. I guess I'll change her oil and plugs, and see what goes.. Thanks for the info, I guess it's definitly worth a shot... dammit, so close to driving my first rsx-s too :p

OOPS!!! I messed up...I got the 95 RX-7 and 03 RSX(5AT w/Leather) He got 97 Accord...But just don't know why I like driving his more than mine. Feels so much safer.

I dont think I've read one post where you don't say you have a rx-7 and an rsx.
