Primer question

Hi, today I bought a new can of primer and I gave my 206 WRC 3 coats, with an inverval of 4-5 minutes.
Now I'm wondering if I should sand it, because I don't think the surface is smooth enough, or am I wrong here? Do primed surfaces have to be smooth as hell or can they be "textured"?

I think you should sand it.

That will definately need sanding. :eek7: I'd wet sand it with maybe 500 or possibly 800 grit. You'll have to go carefull not to remove any body details. Try not to go through the primer too much as well, although I have never found the odd small area of bare plastic to be a problem.

I think you should have put the can in some warm water before use and maybe layed the final coat on a bit wetter to get a smoother finish.

that is refered to as "blushing". its when there is too much moisture in the air, and has nothing to do with the paint. it is the easiest thing to fix in modeling and has happened to me a million times, just sand it with a 2000 grit sandpaper and you'll be set for either another coat of primer, or the color coats.

tx heaps gasman, will sand it tomorrowmorning. You're correct about the moisture, it was allmost freezing in the basement :)
Btw do I sand it wet or dry? The finest paper I got is 1200 though :s
