Pics of the VR6 will follow soon, cause not often i've got access to a Digi-Cam. It's molded quite simple and just one piece.

Orion, sorry if I give the answer for you.
Yes, there is only one VR6 kit and it's this one.
It's not a snap kit, it's a normal Fujimi kit. Fujimi doesn't make snap kits, I think
Take a look at the GolfIII thread I have in my sig, it's exactly the same kit but with a 16V engine.

Hi Orion,
I just came across your thread and your project photos.
Concernig the black car, in my opinion the car is not yet gloss but semi gloss (desired ?), the metallic parts in the colour seem to be too big for the scale. The rear wheel isnīt sitting in the middle of the wheel opening, the silver window frames are not straight (painted (?)), the glass of the lights appear milky, the left light in the front bumper isnīt painted (?) korrekt, the lower edge of the intake in the front spoiler isnīt straight, the emblems are not crisp, the front left wheel is not in the fender.
The blue carīs widened fenders are not plain, the front intake has no sharp edges, I think you will correct all these things and add some matt varnish to the seats and some window rubbers. The black cross on the front lamps look toy-like.
Nice idea, however, Iīm looking forward to see your improvements

Hi dag65,
when I recently came to AF I expected critical comments -for my models, too-, and these are usually not only positive.
Orions VW models show a good idea, but when I compare the execution f.e. to your models, experienced modellers should see some facts at Orionīs models, that are not yet correct and could be improved. Orion has over 800 post and doesnīt seem to be a beginner.
The photos are taken during the building period and what I see and wrote down could be corrected up to the completation of the models.
Even if Orion is a beginner, experienced modelers should show him where he could improve.
If all comments are "nice done", " great stuff", etc. , these models are at the same level as f.e. the top models of the current LeMans contest.
Isnīt modelling constant learning?
What can I learn if nobody shows me where and how to improve?
Donīt you want to see comments like this? --- Then you leave all unexperienced modelers in their dreams of being a top-modeler and there is no need to improve anymore.
Sorry Orion that this takes place in your thread, what I write here is not concernig your models alone, but many threads in the forum.

I think dag65's point is... why drag a two and a half month old thread up just to pick it apart?
We welcome all sorts on AF, and personally I like when people are willing to help out and offer critiques, as I feel it a ncessary part of growth as a builder, and that is one of the fantastic services AF provides its members.
However, there's a right way to go about it. It's easy to pick out all the mistakes in a model, if you want to be constructive explain how these issues can be fixed. Your manner of critique needs work, too. Man, you just lept straight into tearing it apart! If you like the idea, and have criticisms, lead with the parts you like then go into what could use work, as that tends to soften the blow. As is, you seem to just be picking for fun, which isn't particularly nice. Don't get me wrong, no one is asking you to not lend your... expert advice, but you could use a little more tact in it, and include more help.

Hi Willimo,
I am very far away of being an expert.
I am surfing through the threads to get ideas.
Maybe my critics came too hard, however I still donīt understand why every reply is merely positive, nobody gives hints of what can be improved.

Well put ,and thank you. And don't forget some people build models for the sheer fun of it and could care less if its a spot on accurate 1:1 replica.

Every reply is not positive and i will include constructive criticisms about what could be done better next time if indeed I find something that could be improved. When we tear apart others' work like that, we leave ourselves wide open to be put under the microscope.:) Just my worthless opinion.

Hi,
nice to see that you give hints with your critics, others donīt. My critic was -as already mentioned - perhaps too hard, but I donīt think that you need a microscope to see the areas of improvment.
By the way, your opinion is not worthless.
