To tell you the truth, its not the hottest car in my books. I'd take any porsche, ferrari, panoz, lambo, maserati (shall i go on?) over that. Not my cup of coffee :P Just a mans opinion. Im sure it'd lay a strip and a half though.

i cant stand the new shelby. it looks........ i dont know how to say it, it just looks weird. why does ford keep on having to bring back a car (i.e. gt and cobra), why cant they make a new car that is fast.

A classic "answer to the question nobody asked".
With the GT destined for production, why would Ford need a second "halo car", and another one a couple of times the Corvette's retail price at that?
605HP is nice, no doubt about that. Alas, it is packaged in a poor facsimile of the original car's styling. And too heavy by comparison, although it has enough ponies to push the car along.
The cachet of the Cobra name, or using Mr. Shelby's name and image to promote it, won't save this one.

They should just give it a light restyle. I like it a lot. Its never gonna be produced though. It pisses me off how car manufacturers try to relive old glories they should move on to the present and future.

that is one of the many reasons i dont like the gt or cobra. lets make new cars, aren you smart enough and have enough money to make a new design.

well i like it, and they could build it on the GT production lines easily, probably after they finish the GT in 200something, and why would you compare it to the corvette, you compare it to the viper, much better comparison.

I for one like it, but agree it needs a slight make over. As for the GT yeah it's an old design and as said why can't they make a new car that is fast? I somewhat agree but the GT's beauty is timeless!

theyre redoing it, ford and shelby decided it was to boxy, theyre going to be adding more curves to it... but the performance will stay the same

Speaking of boxy, how gay is the scion and Honda Element. Looks like a freakin box on wheels, like those plastic Fred Flinstone cars we use to push along with our feet when we were kids.
