well school was suppposed to start back up on monday, and in WA many schools still haven't re-opened yet. i just checked the district web site, and there's no school on wenesday either. so does anyone know how the school year is going to end? are they adding three more days on to the end of the year? b/c graduation is set on the 5th of june, i really hope they don't push that back. im thinking that they'll take away our midwinter break in feb. that would be the most logical thing to do, but my school is anything but logical. when it was first built, Timberline high school was one giant building, no walls, an "open learning environment" i think whoever thought of that was on something.

They will either add more days, or they'll cancel some teacher inservice days, and make you go to school instead.

Are you a senior? When I was a senior we had about a week of school that was canceled. The seniors last day of school was the day it was supposed to be and the rest of the school had to go a week later.

Up here in the tundra, they know how to move snow. So unless their is an ice storm or over 36 inches of snow in one night, we won't get a snow day.

Hell, they make us come to school when there is a blizzard out. I recall only 5 school days in the amount of time I have attended the schools here where I live, and I've lived her for about 12 years, talk about suck.

Hahaha I love living in North Carolina. An inch of snow will get us out of school for 2-3 days. If they tack the days on to the end of the year it wont affect seniors that are graduating, because the school wont push back the graduation date. They will most likely get rid of that mid-winter break thing you mentioned, or any teacher workdays that arent needed.

jsut an update, my school is really stupid, and they don't know how to call up someone to plow the parking lot. i left home really early so i wouldn't have to deal with sliding highschool drivers (myself included) but i got stuck in the parking lot my butt was sticking out, we still had about 8 inches in the covering up the lines, so it looked like we had drivers ed students park our cars(not that it looks any different without snow)
