All eclipse's are coupes. NA->turbo swaps are next to impossible.

i say you should sell you car and get a GSX. but if you dont want to do that i would just say rebuild your motor and put a turbo on that. when i say rebuild i mean from head to toe. you should do it all. you name it do it. but then it all comes down to money.......

the problem with tryin to swap from a 420a to a 4g63 is they sit completely different in the engine bay. I know there are turbo kits for the 420, check hahnracecraft and star performance. But as far as turboing a non turbo 4g... I don't really know. And now that I think about it, I don't think the 420 came around till 95... so this really doesn't help any. sorry

Yeah, I think he has a 1g. That swap has been done. There is a big writeup on DSMtuners, or DSMtalk. MAybe even something at www.vfaq.com... Its already been done and written up, you'll find the best info from one of those guys that has done it and made a writeup on it.

just rebuild the whole engine... build the head and block really well then you can throw a turbo kit of some sort on it (either buy one from HRC or Star, or do like i did and piece one together) and you should be able to kill a stealth, i know i can :iceslolan

You can run a stealth with an n/a 1g but it won't be near as easy as a turbo car can. If you havent bought the car, why don't you just get a gst in the first place?

Where do you live? If i were you, unless you NEED a car asap, i'd wait even if it took 6 months to find a gst. If i bought a GS it would be considered a car to get me to when i could find a GST nearby. that means not spending money on it trying to get power.

Well since you have a car already, i STRONGLY recommend not buying a non-turbo car. Don't just take my word for it, drive both trims and decide for yourself. You will save yourself a lot of money in the end, and be much happier with the results your mods on a turbo car will produce.

I agree that if at all possible, just wait for te turbo car. Wether its the turbo DSM or the Rx7, both are my two favorite cars (I owned a second gen 7 also). I waited for 6 months before I found my POS. Even in the northeast where AWDs are commonplace, I still had to wait a while before I found a good car at a good price. Well worth the wait. And strangely enough, I was actually going to upgrade my 2nd gen rx7 to a 3rd gen, when I decided to go AWD for drag racing and keep the costs down...

I'm not sure I understand what you are saying up there, but I think you want to see pictures of my rx7. I had some on the computer, but lost them all at some point... If I ever scan some of the regular pics someday, they will probably end up on my website.

I'm not sure what you mean by "small block"... Do you mean a chevy 350? Or are you trying to say a racing short block, as in a built 4g63.
