I researched google and here's what I came up with. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.

Prelude SR's had the 4-wheel steering option called SR/4WS, powered by a 2.3 Liter 160-hp, DOHC 16-Valve Engine. There was also an SR-V with a 2.2 Liter, 190-hp DOHC VTEC Engine. I think they're Canadian models, because the SR-V and Si have the same specs. Personally I've never even heard of an SR until now.

Prelude S - 160hp DOHC
Prelude SR - 160hp DOHC

Prelude Si - 190hp DOHC VTEC
Prelude SR-V - 190hp DOHC VTEC

Weird..

you are correct.

the SR and the SR-V were both canadian models only (you get in trouble on here if you use words like only though). the SR is the Canadian equivelant of the US Si (160 hp, blah blah blah). and the SR-V is the canadian equivilent of the US Si-Vtec. there was also a US version not made for canada and that was the 'S' model with the F22 which had only 135 hp (i know why even mention it...im trying to be thorough here). the SR-V is pretty dope...came with the option of heated/leather seats, and some other stuff not offered here in the states. im going to look at my helms manual tomorrow to find out just what these other things are. as a side note...some of these 4th gen canadian models had gauges/dashes that looked like buicks...###### if you ask me.

okay heres some unneeded info but ill spill it anyway...

prelude tidbits (if you will):
5th generation models...

Prelude Xi - 135HP at 5,200rpm
Prelude Si - 160HP at 6,000rpm
Prelude Sir - 200HP at 6,800rpm
Prelude Sir S spec - 220HP at 7,200rpm
Prelude Type S - 220HP at 7,200rpm

the xi came with lame ass hubcaps also (to go with the extremely underpowered engine and overweight car)...doesnt sound like a big deal for civics and stuff but they look really out of place on a prelude...

sorry i got real carried away. preludes make me want to write novels.

its just 4 wheel steering, not 4 wheel drive. honda actually abbandoned the plan of 4wheel steering ludes in their early years here in the states because it sucked.

dude i dont know where you heard that it sucked but ive read way more positive reviews on it than negative. from what i hear it is way more reliable than the ATTS system on the newer preludes also.

nothing beats seeing a parked prelude with the wheels turned to lock and the back wheels angled in...looks badass..

thats cool. i wasnt calling you a liar or flaming or anything. and really i dont know first hand if 4ws sucks or not. just from what ive heard, it is really cool and you can take freeway ramps at like 80. i usually trust SCC for the most part. at least more than the other shitty car mags.

yeah, it was the one where they paid tribute to the prelude after it was announced it would be discontinued.
