I have all the body detailing to do, clear coat finish and decals. I'm using real auto tint (35% net, left over from my Crown Victoria's tint) on the windows at the moment. It 'seems' to be working. More on the tint later.

Hey man, by CV do you mean a real CV? We don't see enough Crown Viccy lowriders out there, I don't know why no one has pimped out a new crown victoria and turned it into a lowrider. Welcome back man, and I hope you stay in it for as long as you can now.
The 20s on that kit are a bit cheesy....

Yes, the CV in my sig is real. I'm going to do a lowrider model CV. I think if it looks good enough, maybe I'll drop a couple inches off the real CV. Lower is better :iceslolan

What do suggest I do about the wheels?

Only 2 replies. hmmm. What's up with that? Because I'm a newbie? Or because it's a Chevy Lowrider? Or does it just suck and no one wants to tell me? Oh, well..

Umm, just a question, Are you brush painting everything?
Looks pretty good from what I can tell. The pics are kind of blurry.

I sprayed the body and some of the parts and I'm brushing the rest. Yes, the photos suck. I need a better digicam.

Thanks.

Considering how well my other project came out using PMan's HOW TO prepare a body for priming and painting and his HOW TO.....Use Rubbing Compound And Polishing A Body I have decided to strip the Impala down and redo the paint.

It is only right and just.

Thanks primera man, I had nothing else to do today :)

Bro! I bought some nice 19s for her (code name Wendy). I'll post some pics in a while. I'm still fitting them and waiting for paint to dry. I think you may like these.

I like the color, and the chassis came out well. BTW are you from Boston? If so, i'm your neighbor from RI .

Sweet man, post some flickas up! you may have dificulty finding a Crown Vic model, so maybe make a 1:1 version instead of a 1:25 ;)

Lindburg makes a kit and Testors makes a diecast kit.

Glad you like her Ryan. Yes, I'm from Boston. Right now I live halfway between RI and Boston. About 20 minutes either way. ok ok...it's 25 minutes to RI :)

I'll get some shots up asap :)

I was going to lower my Crown Vic an inch. It's a handling thing. But maybe I may go 2. Vics look tight as hell when they're lowered. The first thing I do this spring will be to drop her a couple inches.
