Pulled a Boxster

This morning as I was exiting off the interstate into the city this porsche boxster roared past me. A moment later him and I were side by side at a red light. Dude kept creeping up waiting for the light to turn green. I revved it one time joking around, I wasn't sure if he would go, but he looked over at my car and then didn't look back. I was pretty sure I could take him. The light turned green, he chirped his wheels and was off. he got a half car lead on me cuz I was to busy checking out his ride. Anyways I punch it, red line her, chirp in second and now I'm pulling in front of him. The front of his car was behind my front wheel.

Only thing that sucked is we had to shut it down early due to being downtown(never made it out of second so I don't know if that even counts for a race), there is a light on every single damn block in Atlanta. He took off again at the next light but I just played it low key.

I know it's not too exciting but I like the sound of "I beat a porsche" :iceslolan

Definitly believable. A boxter is a high 14 second car, and we roasted one in my friend's turbo EX and he doesn't even have as much hp as you.

reminds me of a video that put the nissan 350z, honda s2k, bmw m3 and the boxter against eachother...the boxter was a joke in that race and almost ended up getting lapped. if i can find the link, i'll post it.

It seems disapointing, but off the factory lot supposedly my car only runs 193 Whp and with my mods it's up to about ~211 Whp (I thought the tint would add an extra 20 hp, j/k)

Doesn't this number seem low for an engine that is rated at 240 hp??? I thought Honda's were supposed to be efficient, yet it seems like in the transfer of power to the wheels I am losing so much (in stock form there is 47 hp lost)... Thoughts anyone...

that does seem really low (u have the 6 speed right?) auto tranny's will lose a bit more, but 47 would be a HUGE amount. i say go have ur car dyno'd to check that number, because i haven't heard of any honda losing that much power. thats a number that an AWD car would pull off...

i have that same question...i at times will pull up to a light and see like a cheap mustang or some camaro or even lancer ( not the evo) and ill look at them and they rev their engine and i rev mine and then its like we race and its not quite a quarter mile so we have to end but i was like either destroying them or just neck and neck or maybe pulling them a little..then its like afterwards i tell my friends i raced a mustang or a camaro and won and they are like whatever dude!!!..i have a 97ex 2dr vtec..with a cold air intake, exhaust thats it...so maybe they started to race me and then they just quit..i dont know??i guess unless you actually go and street race somene where its measured a quarter mile or an eighth...you might be fooling yourself they might just be toying with you or maybe they are not really even paying attention.... it sucks guys...

take it to a track and race till 100
that should be a good indicator of whose car is faster

my buddy's jus always goto the same place and have been since they got flyers at the track announcing a special deal. from then on...its been $40 for 3. :icon16:
