I'm getting the 60K mile service done on my SL next week. The dealer is telling me if my car has "standard" plugs that it will run about $150. But if it has "platnum" plugs, there is much more labor involved because the plentum must come off, therefore costing $250. It seems to me the labor would be the same regardless of what type plug it is. Is the a bunch of B.S. or is this right?
Thanks

Yes, that is BS. What he may mean is if you have plats then you have an sl or VR4 as aposed to a base SOHC. With the SL and VR4 you need to remove the plenum to get the back 3. $20 is what a dealer will charge. Do it yourself. Firts time may take a wihle but in time you can do it in 20 minutes.

Dealerships suck, end of story. Half of them don't even know our cars, and all of them overcharge. I agree with Imp pwr, change them yourself.
