This is the lemans minitures kit, i used mcw gulf blue and orange, i used the toyota gt-1 tires because the kit tires were too cheezy for me. There is tons of sms carbon fiber, and kevlar all over it . Completely detailed the interior. I love the finish of the car but it was very challenging to build. :banghead:

Excellent work!!
I have the Crocodile version but not started yet.
Which paint did you used (I have the Gulf Mclaren GTR and need paint for it)
The interior look very nice. Did you have any problems with the kit?

Don't use that blue for the GTR! It's actually a much darker blue... I don't have a code for it but its more of a royal blue. I saw them race many times at Le Mans and in the BPR...

Very nice. I really like the interior and the smooth paint/graphics. Nice job on the headlight/taillight covers too. Aw heck, the whole thing is nice!!Since I'm not familiar with the kit, I assume there's no engine details.

Very nice. A timeless Gulf livery.
The Audi R8R is such an awesome race car.
I can't wait to see what replaces the dominant Audis one day in ALMS.
That model was at the Atlanta NNL show in November, right? I snapped a few shots of it spinning around on a turntable that didn't come out clear. :banghead:

Excellent car and work. I'm very impressed. How long does it take to do a car like that? What do you use the kevlar for?

Hey Mike, did you sign on w/o changing from your dad's profile??!
That railing sure looks familiar!
Wish I'd looked closer at the model at the show. Looks killer! :smokin: And it's included in the SAE writeup, hope they include it in the coverage.

MCW Light Gulf Blue, he says so in the first couple of lines of the first post ;)
BTW S-F, every time I look at this model I want to build one myself, it's absolutely stunning!

Missed commenting on this first time round (won't happen again now we have our motorsports folder :) ) Your Audi looks great in the powder blue and marigold Gulf livery. Interesting you called the build challenging, I said it was quite simple in my thread. One of us must be lying
