Help - 2003 Astro with SES lamp on
pedaler

My 'service engine soon' light has come on and I've only got 32000 miles on it. In searching the web I've found references from fuel injectors to transmission faults. I'm shy of dealers, and there is no "Auto Zone" in my area. Any ideas?

Without the codes to indicate where the problem originates, you are shooting in the dark. These vehicle are prone to O2 sensor issues, and if they are emission control issues, the dealer is required to repair them at their expense. These include transmission problems. If they light the SES light, they are included. Be prepared to fight for what is yours, but what is right is right. Ray

The PCM has seen a fault in the emmissions system or a related componant controlled by the PCM and has turned on the SES light and stored a trouble code..
Since your vehicle is a 03 with less than 36k on the clock, your vehicle is covered under your new vehicle bumper to bumper warranty...repairs will be of no charge to you and you may even qualify for courtesy transportation if your vehicle will be down more than a day.
