just drop my civic 3 plus inches on some 17's camber is correct but now that i drove it i cant control it. sterring is wack it has a crap load of play so much roll it feels like your spinning your tires in the water and trying to turn it just aint happening. would front and rear tie bar and front and rear strut bars help me out at all or do i need and alignment?
any help is greatly appretiated.

Is the car lowered? When was your last alignment? If you didn't get an alignment after a drop then you add wider tires and wheels the extra contact patch is great for cornering but also catches more imperfections in the road.

Did you get an alignment after the drop? I'm guessing NO since your asking about an alignment. How do you know the camber is correct if not aligned?

yes the car is lowered about 3.5" and no i havent got it aligned yet. should i? will this fix my steering/handling problem. i know my cambers pretty straight cas i put a camber kit on all the way around and it looks pependicular to the ground.

3.5" holy crap! But anytime you change the suspension you have to get an alignment. And just eyeballing it is not good enough. WHich is why your car is prolly handling weird.

:werd: It's not just camber that is affected by lowering, toe is also. If you were looking at the tires from above - / \ toe in - \ / toe out. Now if you were looking at the tires from behind/front - / \ negative camber - \ / positive camber.

The tie bars will stiffen up the cornering but won't help on the freeway with your problems. btw did the alignment help or is it still in the shop?

Sorry to bring this post back to the top, but how much did the alignment cost you?

4 wheel alignments usually run $50-$100 depending where you live & who does the work.
