9-2X Aero > Saabaru Shame <

9-2X Aero is utterly dreadful display what it means to be last player on court of GM players.

I shouldn’t be upset now when I have seen first production photos, after all they have announced that at earlier date, that shame Saabaru thing. :disappoin

Still, when you know that in less then two years entire splendor of exquisiteness like Shooting Brake,9x, 9-3X,9-3 Sport Hatch Concept and 9-7X have been presented and proved so many times creative ideas and direction is the least of problem with Saab people, one simply cannot believe this exact copy of Impreza with simply a new badge is to carry a Saab name.

As mentioned from press and elsewhere one that should have free wings to release his own fabulous designs, as usual is punished and has to settle with remains of GM/Opel last night dinner party.

But best of all is Saab announcement in states for general public.

Not a one single word about Subaru as if they have designed this shame, but best joke is quote : for the first time Saab with the Boxter engine !!!!

No kidding, first time? :screwy:

When you are playing with the same, could you borrow one from Porsche as well. :lol2:

I know, users wont be sad, not that there is anything wrong with Subaru, but, greed for money is taking more unpleasant and unpleasant ways to disgust those who remember a few things about Saab tradition.

Why even name Saab, Opelaab = GM’lab. :banghead:

Well, GM is just using its "resources"
As they had already done it with other cars.
Pontiac GTO came from the Australian Holden
Suzuki Verona came from Korean Daewoo
Re-badging is the most simple way to create a new model for a brand without spending too much money.
Wonder whats next...

I'm afraid you make it to simple.

I could give you more the 30 Saab solutions that ended in Opel rather then Saab.

Each of these where made by Saab !

As you might know space is of essence in Jets, so Saab wanted to use rear seats down to the floor flat push patent. Once seats are pushed down to the floor, it seems like there is no any seats. Do you know where this ended? In Opel Zafira!

Naturally in press promo, Opel took all the credit as if they invented the bloody thing!

Opel wont have any rebaged models this year.

It is just a game Saab needs to fight better.

They are Turbo powerplant for entire GM.

They need to take serious action

uhhhhhhhhhh ok.... Just to let you know, the 92x is not an exact copy of a subaru. Granted it is the same basic platform, they have a lot of differences. (like the better tuned suspension) I mean, have you even visually compared the two cars. (doesnt seem like it)

Well it certainly isn't not very non Subaru looking is it?

Well, if Saab wouldn't at least advance and made a few refinements that would be even more shame.

Of course he made a few changes, bur face it, this is not Saab plant design.

Not Saab's engine. This is nothing, just marketing with handcuffs on Saab's hands.

GM and Opel to thank for them.

Saab has full drawers of finished beautiful designs, he is the last brand in need to take someone's leftovers.

First, the 92x is not a leftover. It was Saabs decision to create this car and work with Subaru. There may be drawers full of great designs, but without that all-mighty dollar bill, none of them will ever get made. Face it, GM saved Saabs ass. Just be happy Saab is still here. So, who cares if Saab needs a car that it can produce quickly and cheaply and that will sell to a large audience. (something they has never been good at) Then after selling a bunch of those cars, saab might have the money to work on those concepts. I agree that they should use there own designs, but thats the way this world works. You need money to do the things you want to do and this is one way they are doing it.
