Uploading pictures.

Ok, i'm kind of confused on how to upload pictures. I seen when i go to post a reply there is a place to click and upload pictures at the bottom. I clicked there and it listed max disk space on account and stuff. I remember just going to a link and uploading a picture and a/f gave me a link to use. Thats been awile and i'm kind of new to the change....help would be great.
