Technical Thread?!

Can we all agree that this thread is better suited to technical questions regarding suspensions setups, tire choices and wheel sizes and leave the constant "do these wheels look good" questions to the exterior styling forum? Also as has been suggested and implenmented in some of the other sections of the Honda/Acura Forum how about a FAQ on some of this stuff. I know that I have seen some of the senior members in this sections answer the pros and cons of 19in. wheels with a three in. drop more than a few time in my short stay here on AF. It just seems like it would be helpful to get the questions about wheel sizing, drop heights, 'the best' spring and shock combo etc. out of the way so they can stop being incessantly asked. Just my thoughts on how to stream line things a little bit.

I've thought about creating a sticky for suspension many times, but people are too lazy or stupid to read them.

:iagree:
I do think the "do my rims look cool?" threads are lame. It's kinda a grey area there IMO since this forum DOES pertain to wheels as well, though I hate those threads just as much as some of you other guys do.
I'll see what I can put together in terms of a Suspension FAQ, and anyone that would like to contrabute to this thread (i.e. links to previous helpful AF.com Honda/Acura suspension forum topics, or info of your own you have found along the way) please PM or email me a link or the text of the contrabution and I'll include it in the FAQ. In the mean time I'll ask the admins and senior staff about prohibiting appearance type threads in here since I know I may get flack for enforcing that myself without prior consent.

I suppose you are right about that one but it is worth a try I think. At the very least instead of answering their question at length they can be directed to the FAQ and maybe they will try that first in the future...
I know I have run across some great threads looking back through the annuls of this section. Especially some pertaining to sturt bars cross (and the shittyness of DC sports hehe) members and sway bars.
I'll try to get looking for them as soon as I have a little time. There is no reason you should have to construct the whole thing by yourself (SY2K)
