door locks

Help. I have a Ford f150 1998. The locks on both doors are becoming very difficult to unlock with the key. After much jiggling I can usually get one or both to unlock. I have tried lubricants including graphite. Slight help.

Has anyone else had this problem or heard of it? Is it common? Is the dealer the best place to take it for a fix, or a locksmith?

Thanks

Sounds like a common problem, a guy that works for me has the same problem. A locksmith recommended a spray lub like tri flow, if that doesn't do it, you will have to change the locks.

Thanks for the suggestion. I had actually considered that but I have a goody or two inside that I don't want to find missing.
