91 celica shuts down at 110mph (need help)

i was wondering does any one elses shuts down at this speed. and do i need to buy a jet chip to fix this problem.

What part of MO? I am from KC... Anyways the 110 you stopped at was because of your govenor. The "jet chip" or whatever you asked about won't do anything about this...

Yes it will. The "govenor" is in the ECU.

Would a 91 gt-s govern at that speed too? Havnt had time to try to max out yet, one of my friends bought a chip for his focus and it reset his governer alot higher and some other stuff, so the chip may help.

stock governer on the 5th gen is 125, there is somethin else going on wit ur car besides speed cut

when i first tried to max my st celica out i had the same problem, it wouldnt get past 110, then about a week later (repeatedly hitting 110 all week) the car opened up n burried the needle so now my st goes 120+
